Concludes Successfully with Global Experts and Strong Participation

QUEZON CITY, Philippines — The Quality, Environment, Security, Safety and Health (QESSH) Management Summit 2026: An Integrated Approach Towards Business Excellence successfully concluded on March 5–6, 2026 at Ichikawa Hall, Occupational Safety and Health Center (OSHC), Quezon City, with online participation via Zoom livestream.

The two-day hybrid summit gathered professionals, leaders, and practitioners from various industries to discuss the importance of integrating Quality, Environmental, Security, Safety and Health, and ESG principles in achieving organizational excellence and sustainability.

A total of 241 participants attended the summit, composed of 118 on-site participants at OSHC and 123 participants joining virtually via Zoom, reflecting strong interest in advancing integrated management systems and global best practices.

The event featured renowned experts and practitioners who shared insights on emerging trends, standards updates, and practical approaches to implementing integrated management systems.

Quality / ISO Updates

Mr. Paul Bagatsing, Director of Operations and Principal Consultant, provided participants with the latest developments in ISO management system standards. His discussion highlighted the importance of continuous improvement, leadership engagement, and alignment of quality systems with organizational strategy.

Environmental Updates

Engr. Melchy Enriquez, 1st Vice President of the Pollution Control Association of the Philippines, Inc. (PCAPI), discussed recent environmental policies, sustainability initiatives, and compliance requirements affecting organizations. She emphasized the growing role of environmental stewardship in business resilience.

Data Privacy, Cybersecurity, and IT Security

Ms. Christy Donato, OSH Consultant and Safety & Environment Specialist, discussed the rising importance of ESG frameworks in modern organizations. She explained how ESG principles contribute to sustainable operations, stakeholder trust, and long-term business success.

ESG Application – CSR Timeline & Sustainability

Mr. Edgardo R. Bugayong Jr., PhD, OSH Practitioner, demonstrated how organizations can integrate Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and sustainability initiatives into their operational strategies, reinforcing responsible business practices and long-term value creation.

Embracing AI and Emerging Technologies for QESSH

Mr. Walter Panganiban, Co-Founder and Chief Communication Officer of Resilient PH, presented on “Embracing AI and Emerging Technologies for QESSH that Sustain Business Excellence.” His presentation highlighted how artificial intelligence and emerging technologies can support risk assessment, improve safety monitoring, and enhance decision-making processes in integrated management systems.

Engr. Del Garcia, a Top Young Safety Professional Awardee from Canada, shared best practices and innovative approaches to occupational safety used in Canadian industries.

Mr. Mike Escalona, New Zealand Building People Awardee 2024, discussed safety leadership and workforce engagement strategies implemented in New Zealand’s construction sector.

Middle East OSH Experience

Engr. Jode Defensor, Senior HSE Engineer at QatarEnergy, and Engr. Arnold Nabua, Risk Management Specialist from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, provided insights into safety management practices in high-risk industries across the Middle East.

Information Security and Emergency Preparedness

Information Security Standards Updates

Mr. Dennis Cunanan, Managing Director of CPSI Certifications, discussed the latest updates in information security standards, emphasizing the growing importance of protecting organizational information assets in the digital age.

Disaster Preparedness

Dr. Ted Esguerra, Expedition and Wilderness EMS Physician, delivered a compelling talk on disaster preparedness and emergency response, drawing from his experiences in high-risk expeditions such as Mount Everest.
